Welcome to the blog! RSS

It’s almost anti-Valentine’s Day! I remember getting black roses for my besties in college.  We’d wear all black and bemoan the lack of decent relationships…. Hmm. Not much has changed, but now I have a dog who listens to me whine about things. I was able to use the Rabbit Hole Designs stamp set, Sassy Anti-Valentine to make a few ATC sized cards (2.5 x 3.5 in.) and I couldn’t be happier with them!     Patterned ladies are kind of my signature and I make a lot of items with them, so of course they’d pair perfectly with snarky sayings! ...

cactus, card, cup, hugs -

I need a hug, don’t you? Recently my creative juices have been flowing more.  I hadn’t created a card to match a cup in a very long time.  As of today, I’ve made three in two days, so I’m going to share the process *I* have when making cards to match other items.  The hardest part about my job is having the items on hand, (I mean, trying to find a place to put them all).  In looking over my cups on my shelves, I kind of choose the one that jumps out at me.  Either I like the cup...

Thanks for stopping by the blog. DISCLAIMER:  I do NOT recommend putting a honey card through the mail, not even ‘hand cancelled’. I assume this would be better handed to the recipient. I was inspired by my friend Theresa to make a “water" card.  I posted my first attempt yesterday but here’s a reminder. For my first one I made a few mistakes. I didn’t have any hair gel, I only had lidocaine “pain relieving gel” for sunburns.  Obviously, you don't give a card that could potentially hurt little ones so I won’t give this one away. Then by putting...

Adding Insides to a Box Card: This is a simple follow up to my earlier blog about box cards.  This particular box has one cross bar in the middle of the box.  If you haven’t seen my previous blog, then you might want a refresher first.  This post will be a lot less detailed.  This is the finished box… cute isn’t it? Same basic steps as last time…Cut out base panels, cut out characters and patterned paper panels, affix to base panels.     Then adhere the panels to each other, the back panel (1) to 2, 2 to 3,...
